Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. The name she is most commonly used for her professional work is Aurora and often stylized with uppercase letters like AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, and received great reviews from bloggers and music critics as well as from the press. Half the World Away - by Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two covers worth noting that the singer has created. Katy Perry, who endorsed the tune Runaway from her side, has given it some more recognition. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering a piano hidden in her attic, then becoming enthralled by the sounds it produced. Parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as a career or hobby but for growth. In order to do so she started writing her own new compositions. As well as Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Responding to her mother's advice that people shouldn't be trying to become famous with the songs she writes, but rather realize the importance of themselves and the impact they have on society. The piano was her first instrument when she was six. She started writing music when she turned nine. It wasn't until her 14th birthday when she shared her story with her parents. There was no way she could have imagined to turn into Aurora. The only thing she loves is writing songs. She believes that music can help any person feel better.
