Morgan was a featured actress on the AIDS prevention and educational video Safe Sex for Men and Women. Morgan gave a percentage of her income to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is part of the Entertainment Industry's AIDS Task Force. Morgan is the leader of numerous other fundraisers for the disease as well as testified in front of a specific Congressional committee about AIDS education. She is on the Board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop's previous assistant surgeon general asked her from time to time to be his substitute during AIDS awareness events. Additionally, she hosted a AIDS Awareness Special presented by Steve Bell. She's appeared on Nightline alongside Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan was awarded the Emmy Award for Diane English's special Murphy Brown episode that was written just for Morgan. Morgan was a co-star in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife in springtime with Joan Rivers. Summer began with Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams also appeared. She then starred in the production of Harmony Gold, Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady, which starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also starred as the lead in a psychological thriller that was solely produced for the USA Network. It received one of the highest ratings ever recorded by the network.
