Kim Delaney is an American actress best known for her role as the role of Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she received the Emmy Award. Her first job acting was as a young girl in the 1981 soap opera All My Children. Delaney has appeared in a variety of TV movies, film and dramatics since then. Personally, her professional one has nt been successful and happy. She has also experienced two divorces that failed and fought with alcohol addiction. In 2005 her custody was taken away from her.
